U.S. Private Sector Adds More Jobs Than Expected in July

The National Employment Report ADP showed today that the private sector in the United States added 324K jobs in July after adding 455K jobs in June and analysts were expecting that the US private sector will add 189K jobs in July.

Wages for workers remaining in their jobs rose year-on-year by 6.2% in July after rising 6.4% in June and for those who change jobs, year-on-year wages rose 10.2% in July after rising 11.3% in June.


Employment in small companies and organizations with one employee increased to 49 employees by 237,000, accounting for more than two-thirds of the gains in the private sector, and in medium-sized companies from 50-499 workers increased by 138,000, while large companies and institutions with more than 500 employees gave up 67,000 jobs.
