The US dollar achieves gains for the eighth week in a row

The US dollar rose, recording gains for the eighth week in a row, as the dollar index rose to 105.08, and the series of weekly gains for the dollar index was the longest since 2014.

US 10-year Treasury bond yields fell by one basis point to 4.256%, and during the week the yield on 10-year bonds rose by about 9 basis points.

Apple shares rose 0.3% after two days of losses, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 75.86 points, or 0.22%, to 34,576.59 points, the Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 6.35 points, or 0.14%, to 4,457.49 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index also rose 12.69 points, or 0.09% to 13761.53 points.
