ECB: The economic impact of the Corona virus may be temporary

European Central Bank executives said today that the outbreak of the Corona virus in China increases the global economic uncertainty, but its effect may be short-term and temporary, thereby reducing the need for political action.

"While the risk of a trade war between the United States and China appears to have receded, the Corona virus adds a new stage of uncertainty," said European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde in Paris.

The European Central Bank has long warned that global risks affect the economic outlook for the eurozone, but recently seemed more optimistic considering that the risks seem to be easing, prompting investors to set expectations for more facilities for the central bank.
