The US dollar declined against the major currencies today, from its highest level in four weeks, as the main dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against 6 major currencies, fell by 0.039%.
The data showed that non-farm productivity in the United States rose at an annual rate of 3.7% in the second quarter after declining at a rate of 1.2% in the first quarter, and labor costs rose at a rate of 1.6% in the second quarter from 3.3% in the first quarter.
The euro rose against the US dollar by 0.04% to $1.094, the Japanese yen rose against the US dollar by 0.40% to 142.72 yen, and the British pound fell against the US dollar by 0.07% to $1.27.
