The US dollar rose to a nine-month high against the Japanese yen
The US dollar rose against the Japanese yen to a nine-month high, and Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said on Saturday that the bank will maintain the current approach to monetary policy as Japan's core inflation remains slightly below its 2% target.
The main dollar index, which measures the performance of the greenback against 6 major currencies, fell 0.08% to 104.07, after hitting its highest level since early June on Friday at 104.44.
The US currency recorded 146.685 Japanese yen, the highest level since November 9, and the euro rose against the US dollar by 0.11%, to $ 1.0806, after falling to $ 1.07655 on Friday, the lowest level since June 13.
