The US dollar is rising as concerns about global growth increase

The US dollar rose against major currencies to its highest level in nearly six months as concerns about global growth increased, as data showed that China's services sector grew at the slowest pace in eight months in August, and the services PMI in the eurozone contracted in August.

And the main dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against 6 major currencies, increased by 0.62% to 104.8, and the index recorded its highest level in six months at 104.85 earlier in the session.

The euro fell against the US dollar by 0.69%, after hitting its lowest level in about three months at $1.07225, and the US dollar rose against the Japanese yen to its highest level in ten months at 147.8 yen.
