OECD raises global growth forecasts for 2023
The OECD raised its global growth forecast for 2023, predicting that global GDP will grow by 3.0% this year from a June forecast of 2.7%, and global growth is expected to slow to 2.7% in 2024, down from its estimate of 2.9% in June .
The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development lowered growth expectations in the euro zone this year to 0.6% from 0.9% in June, and also lowered GDP growth next year to 1.1%, down from 1.5% in June.
The OECD said the US economy will grow by 2.2% this year instead of 1.6% in the June forecast, and by 1.3% in 2024 from 1.0% expected in June, and the Chinese economy is expected to slow by 5.1% this year and by 4.6%. Next year .
