Italy experiences worst outbreak of Coronavirus
The number of Coronavirus victims in Italy has risen to 11, and the number of new cases has risen to 320 amid the worst outbreak of the Corona virus in Europe. The World Health Organization, which sent a mission to Rome, praised Italy's efforts to suppress the outbreak.
"The measures taken by the Italian or regional governments have been very strong and probably should help contain this virus as much as possible," said Christian Lindemeyer, a WHO spokesman in Geneva.
Health ministers from neighboring countries met in the Italian capital to discuss the crisis and rejected some calls to close the border. Italian Health Minister Roberto Speranza said: "We have agreed to keep the borders open and closing the borders will be a disproportionate and ineffective measure at this time."
