US stocks Decline amid the possibility of the Coronavirus in New York
The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell for a fifth consecutive day in a volatile session, after rising 1.7% in the morning, and health officials in Nassau County, New York said they were monitoring 83 people who visited China to make sure they were not infected with the Coronavirus.
Governor Andrew Como said that the state does not have confirmed cases, while US Food and Drug Administration officials have warned that the virus is on the path to becoming a pandemic, and Germany has announced cases of Corona virus and that it is no longer able to track all cases as Norway has confirmed the first case of the virus.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell 123.77 points, 0.46% to 26957.59 points, the Standard & Poor's 500 index declined by 11.82 points to 3116.39 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 15.16 points, or 0.17%, to 8,980.78 points.
