US economic activity recovers in June
Data released by Market Corporation today showed that the Composite PMI, which groups the industrial and service sectors in the United States, rose to 46.8 points during the month of June compared to 37 points in May, but it is still less than 50 points.
The services purchasing managers ’index, which represents two thirds of the US economy, rose to 46.7 points in June, compared to 37.5 points in May, and analysts expected that the American services sector would record 46.0 points in June.
The industrial purchasing managers' index rose to 49.6 points compared to 39.8 points in May, and analysts expected industrial activity to rise to 47.8 in June, and the new orders index increased to 49.5 points in June from 34.6 points in May.
