Pelosi accuses Trump of tampering with children's health by reopening schools

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused US President Donald Trump of tampering with children's health after he called for schools to reopen in the autumn amid record-high new cases of coronavirus across the country.

Pelosi added that "the president and his administration are tampering with the health of our children. We all want our children to return to school, but they must return safely," asserting that "returning to school poses the greatest risk of coronavirus spread."

Pelosi said that the federal government can make CDC guidelines to reopen schools compulsory, we know that schools across the country look completely different and that there will be no one-size-fits-all approach in everything.
