Pelosi: Trump's reported debt is a national security issue

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said today that US President Donald Trump's debts reported by The New York Times on Sunday have raised national security issues, adding that the public deserves to know who owes the money.

Pelosi added in an interview with MSNBC that it was not clear who holds the debt and whether it includes different countries that could have influence over the Republican president, saying, "For me, this is a matter of national security."

US President Donald Trump responded in a tweet on Twitter, saying, “I paid several million dollars in taxes, but like everyone else I was entitled to tax cuts and credits,” adding that he owns much more assets than debt.
