Gold Rises to highest level in a week
Gold prices rose today to their highest level in a week with the decline of the US dollar in addition to optimism about another monetary stimulus plan, as US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she hopes to conclude an aid deal with the White House this week.
Spot gold rose 0.9% to $ 1896.96 an ounce, US gold futures rose 1.1% to $ 1903.20 an ounce, and since the beginning of the year, gold has risen 25% so far.
As for the other precious metals, silver rose 2.6% to $ 24.33 an ounce, and platinum rose 1% to $ 887.73 an ounce, and palladium also rose 2.5% to $ 2311.07 an ounce.
