Moderna vaccine gives the world more hope

Moderna said today that the experimental vaccine developed by the company is 94.5% effective in preventing the Coronavirus Covid 19 and can be stored at normal temperatures in a refrigerator to become the second American pharmaceutical company after Pfizer to provide results that far exceed expectations. Moderna expects to produce about 20 million doses for the United States this year, and the company has already manufactured millions of them and is ready for shipment if it obtains a permit from the Food and Drug Administration, and the company expects to obtain a permit from the United States next week. Shares of Moderna rose 9% after hitting a record high earlier in the day, while Pfizer shares were down 4.1% after hitting their highest levels since the end of July 2019 on November 9, and shares of its German partner BioNTech tumbled 12.8%.
