US stocks are declining after rising to record levels
The three major US stock indices fell today as investors booked profits after rising to a record high and putting the S&P 500 on its way to reach its best ever levels in November. Today, US Health Secretary Alex Azar said that the first two vaccines against the new Corona virus can be made available to Americans before Christmas, and Moderna's shares rose 17% after it revealed plans to apply for emergency clearance from the United States and Europe for the coronavirus vaccine. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.2% to 29,551.03 points, the S&P 500 index fell 0.68% to 3613.57 points, and the Nasdaq Composite index also fell 0.27% to 12173.35 points.
