US factory orders rebound in October
The US Commerce Department said today that US factory orders rose more-than-expected 1.0% in October versus 1.3% in September, and analysts had expected US factory orders to rise 0.8% in October. Non-defense capital goods orders excluding aircraft rose 0.8% in October versus 0.7% in September, and core capital goods shipments rose 2.4% in October versus 2.3% in September. Data also showed today that German factory orders rose more-than-expected by 2.9% in October versus 1.1% in September, with domestic orders up 2.4% and overseas orders rising 3.2% in October.
