The Brexit talks may continue after the end of this year
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the Brexit talks were very difficult and that at some point London will have to decide whether it is heading towards exit from the non-trade deal and said the situation at the moment is very difficult. The chief EU negotiator, Michel Barnier, added that the bloc was completely united on the approach to trade talks on Brexit and that if Britain wanted access to the EU market it would have to accept the terms. The European Commission stated that talks on establishing future relations between Britain and the European Union may continue after the end of this year, when the transitional period for Britain's exit from the European Union ends if this deal is not reached on January 1.
