Yellen Forge International Agreement Regarding Taxation
The US Treasury Department said in a statement that US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and German Finance Minister Olaf Schultz today stressed the importance of relations between the United States and Germany and across the Atlantic and the need to work together.
The Treasury Department added that officials agreed to cooperate to end the Coronavirus pandemic, support a strong and sustainable global economic recovery, as well as combat income inequality and also vigorously address the threat of climate change.
US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen pledged the active participation of the United States in the ongoing discussions on international taxation under the leadership of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development with the aim of drafting "an international agreement at the appropriate time."
