US stocks Falls strongly as US bond yields rise
Three major indices of US stocks fell today, as the Nasdaq index recorded the largest daily decline in four months, and technology companies such as Alphabet and Microsoft declined with the increase in US Treasury yields. U.S. 10-year Treasury yields rose at 1.614%, their highest level in a year, and Moderna shares rose after it said it expects sales of $ 18.4 billion of the coronavirus vaccine this year.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 561.36 points, or 1.76% to 31,400.5 points, and the Standard & Poor's 500 Index declined by 96.12 points, or 2.45% to 3,829.31 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index also declined 478.54 points, or 3.52%, to 13,119.43 points.
