US stocks mixed with earnings season
US stocks were mixed today with the earnings season as electric car maker Tesla tumbled 4.5% after its quarterly results fell below expectations, with its revenue significantly outstripping environmental credit sales and bitcoin sales rather than auto sales.
Microsoft slumped nearly 4% after its quarterly report, while Google's subsidiary Alphabet rose 5% after its report, and shares of 3M Co fell 2.6% after the giant group said supply chain disruptions due to the coronavirus pandemic and winter storm in February It led to higher costs. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.01% to 33,984.93 points, while the Standard & Poor's 500 Index declined 0.02% to 4,186.72 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index declined 0.34% to 14,090.22 points.
