G7 pledges to support minimum taxes for international companies
Finance ministers and central bank governors from the Group of Seven countries pledged this week to continue supporting their economies as they emerge from the pandemic and reach an ambitious agreement on a global minimum of global corporate taxes.
The G7 officials are scheduled to meet in London on June 4 and 5, and the Group of Seven includes the United States, Japan, Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Canada. Finance ministers and central bank governors from the Group of Seven emphasized that once the recovery is well achieved they will need to ensure long-term sustainability of public finances, in reference to the gradual withdrawal of public support.
