White House team reports progress in talks with infrastructure group
A team of White House officials held a productive meeting on Tuesday with a bipartisan group of senators on lawmakers' trillion-dollar infrastructure plan, the White House said. "While progress has been made, there is still more work to be done," White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement, adding that the White House will assess next steps once the meeting is over. Psaki told reporters earlier that White House Legislative Director Louisa Terrell and Steve Ritchetti, an adviser to President Joe Biden, are meeting with a group of 21 bipartisan senators trying to craft an infrastructure agreement.
