US Dollar falling from its highest level in three months
The US dollar fell against the major currencies today from its highest level in three months, and the main dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against 6 major currencies, fell 0.297% to 92.493. The US dollar fell against the Japanese yen by 0.71% to 109.825 yen after the yen hit its highest level since June 11 at 109.535, and the US dollar fell against the Swiss franc to 0.9134, the highest level since June 17.
The euro maintained previous gains after the European Central Bank set a new inflation target and claimed its role in combating climate change after reviewing the strategy as the single European currency rose against the dollar by 0.39% to $1.18365.
