WHO warns against mixing and matching coronavirus vaccines
Today in an online press briefing, WHO Chief Scientist Somaya Swaminathan advised against mixing and matching coronavirus COVID-19 vaccines from different manufacturers. "It would be a chaotic situation in countries if citizens start deciding when and who to take a second, third and fourth dose," Swaminathan added. Swaminathan explained that it is a dangerous trend given the lack of data available on the health impact. "It's a bit of a dangerous trend here," she said. "We are in a phase without data and evidence in terms of mixing and matching."
