The US budget deficit fell to 174 billion dollars in June
The US Treasury said today, Thursday, that the US government recorded a US budget deficit of $ 174 billion in June, about a fifth of the June 2020 deficit of $ 864 billion, amid increased revenues. Revenues so far rose 35% compared to the same period last year to $3.056 trillion, while expenses rose 6% to $5.294 trillion.
Treasury data showed that payroll taxes increased on an adjusted basis by 33% to $240 billion in June compared to the same period last year, while corporate taxes rose to $79 billion in June from $11 billion last year.
