Gold prices fall to the lowest level in a week
Gold prices fell more than 1% today to their lowest level in a week, with the 10-year US Treasury yields rising to their highest level since May 2019 after Jerome Powell's comments.
Spot gold fell 0.7% to $1,921.58 an ounce and US gold futures fell 0.4% to $1,921.50 an ounce. As for other precious metals, silver fell by 1.6% to $ 24.80 an ounce, and platinum fell by 1.6% to $ 1021, and palladium fell by 3.8% to $ 2487.19
