US job opportunities declined for the second month in a row in February

Data showed that job opportunities available in the United States fell by 17 thousand jobs to 11.266 million jobs in February, which is the second monthly decline in a row, and analysts had expected that available job opportunities would record 11 million jobs in February. Job opportunities in the finance and insurance sector decreased by 63 thousand jobs, non-durable goods manufacturing industry jobs decreased by 39 thousand jobs, while jobs available in the arts, entertainment and recreation sector increased by 32 thousand jobs.

The employment rate increased by 263 thousand to 6.689 million as the employment rate increased by 4.4% in February compared to 4.3% in January, and 4.352 million people left their jobs in February compared to 4.258 million people in January.
