The US private sector added 455,000 jobs in March
The ADP National Employment Report showed that the US private sector added 455,000 jobs in March after adding 486 thousand jobs in February, and analysts had expected the US private sector to add 450 thousand jobs in March.
Medium and large companies accounted for 80% of jobs, the entertainment and hospitality sector added 161 thousand jobs, the industrial sector added 54 thousand jobs, and the US economy is expected to add 490 thousand jobs in March after adding 678 thousand jobs in February. The government said that the gross domestic product rose at an annual rate of 6.9% in the fourth quarter of last year, after the economy grew at a rate of 2.3% in the third quarter of last year, and during 2021 the US economy grew by 5.7%, the highest growth rate since 1984.
