Dollar rises after US jobs data

The US dollar rose today against the other major currencies, after the US jobs report, and the main dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against 6 major currencies, rose 0.314% to 98.627.

The single European currency fell against the US dollar by 0.24% to $ 1.10395, and the Australian dollar rose against the US dollar by 0.15% to $ 0.74965. The jobs report showed that the US economy added 431,000 jobs in March after adding 750,000 jobs in February after the upward adjustment, and the unemployment rate fell to 3.6% in March, the lowest level since February 2020.
