Japan's industrial activity slows in June
Data showed that Japan's au Jibun Bank flash Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) fell to 52.7 points in June from 53.3 points in May, the lowest level since February. Japan's services PMI rose to 54.2 points in June from 52.6 points in May, with new business in the service sector rising for the second month in a row as tourism rebounded. The data showed that the Japanese au Jibun Bank Flash Composite PMI, which combines the industrial and service sectors, rose to 53.2 points in June, compared to 52.3 points in May.
