Eurozone consumer confidence falls to an all-time low in July
The European Commission said a flash estimate showed that consumer sentiment in the euro zone fell 3.2 points to -27.0 points in July from -23.8 points in June, its lowest level ever. Analysts had expected that consumer confidence in the Eurozone would record -24.9 points in July, and in the European Union as a whole, consumer confidence fell by 3.0 points to -27.3 points in July.
The European Commission indicated that consumer confidence in the euro area recorded less than the previous minimum reached at the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis, recording its lowest level ever.
