The US private sector added the least number of jobs since January 2021

The ADP National Employment Report showed that the private sector in the United States added 127,000 jobs in November, compared to 239,000 jobs in October, which is the lowest number of jobs since January 2021. Analysts had expected that the private sector would add 200,000 jobs in November.

Data issued by the US Department of Labor showed that job opportunities available in the United States fell by 353 thousand jobs to 10.3 million jobs in October, which is the 16th consecutive month in which the number of jobs remained above 10 million. The employment rate fell to 6.3% in October from 6.5% in September, employment fell to 6.0 million in October from 6.1 million in September, and layoffs increased to 1.4 million in October from 1.3 million in September.
