Sunak: Continuing inflation does not mean that our policies are wrong
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said today before a committee of lawmakers that inflation in Britain is proving to be more stable than expected, but this does not mean that the policies used to address it are wrong.
"Whether it's monetary policy, responsible fiscal policy or supply-side reform, this is the right set of tools you need to propagate inflation rates down," Sunak said. UK Financial Services Secretary Andrew Griffiths said UK banks should serve a customer even if they disagree with his legal political views and apply anti-money laundering checks proportionately.
