The US private sector added more jobs than expected in April

The ADP national employment report showed that the US private sector added 296 thousand jobs in April after adding 142 thousand jobs in March. Analysts had expected the US private sector to add 148 thousand jobs in April.

Jobs in the entertainment and hospitality sector increased by 154 thousand jobs in April, and the unemployment rate in the United States is expected to rise to 3.6% in April, compared to 3.5% in March. The US government employment report on Friday is expected to show that the US economy will add 180,000 jobs in April after adding 236,000 jobs in March.
